The organ for the First Baptist Church of Colton replaced a Wurlitzer organ from a local Fox theater. All its pipes were in restrictive chambers and the choir, bathed in the light from theatrical red, green and blue light bulbs, sat within the arch where the organ is now.  Then, as now, the backdrop was a round stained-glass window. My objective in designing the two
mirror image organ cases was to use the theme of Roman arches found throughout the room and to keep the window mostly visible from the pews. The left case houses the Swell, the right contains the Great. The Pedal Bourdon and the Aeoline (added later) are in the left organ chamber along with the blower  enclosure.
